LUCA SAPIO

Based in Rome, Italy, Luca Sapio is a singer-songwriter, record producer, and radio host widely recognized as Italy’s leading soul ambassador.

After a decade spent recording and performing with legendary artists such as Tony Scott, Eumir Deodato, Elton Dean, Don Moyè, and Juliette Lewis, Sapio launched his solo career in 2012 with the album “Who Knows.” The record climbed the German and French charts and was honored as Best Independent Record by SIAE (the Italian copyright agency).

In 2014, he solidified his creative partnership with Daptone producer Thomas Brenneck, releasing his second solo effort, “Everyday Is Gonna Be The Day.” Throughout his solo journey, he has shared the stage with icons like Paul Weller, Trombone Shorty, and Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings. His international profile was further boosted by guest appearances on major television programs, including The Late Show with David Letterman, Die Harald Schmidt Show, and C à vous.

In 2015, inspired by the independent soulful labels of the late 60s and mid-70s, Luca founded his own label, Blind Faith Records. He built his recording studio from the ground up and established the Italian Royal Family, a premier collective of musicians and arrangers (formerly known as the Blind Faith Studio house band).

As a producer, songwriter, and engineer, he has been the creative force behind several landmark releases:

  • Martha High: Wrote and produced “Singing For The Good Times” and subsequent solo projects for the "Funky Diva."

  • Sugaray Rayford: Produced and engineered “The World That We Live In,” which earned a nomination for Best Soul Blues Album at the 39th Blues Music Awards.

  • Pete Molinari: Produced and engineered the album “Wondrous Afternoon,” further showcasing his ability to craft timeless, vintage-inspired sounds.

  • Baba Sissoko: Produced “Three Gees” (feat. Corey Harris) and “Fasiya” (with Djana Sissoko).

Beyond the studio, Luca is a prominent music journalist and radio personality. Since 2014, his shows have been broadcast daily on Italy’s National RadioRai 1, RadioRai 2, and Switzerland’s RSI2.

Currently, Luca is putting the finishing touches on his long-awaited new solo album. Furthermore, 2026 marks the release of several high-profile projects where he serves as producer, showcasing his unique sound and consolidating his reputation as one of the most versatile and authentic producers on the international scene.
