ALAN KITCHENER KITCH
Alan “Kitch” Kitchener, and his alter ego the Man from Soul, is a record hound discoverer of so many incredible records, and mad fool for a funny hat opportunity. He has been amazing collectors of rare soul and filling dance floors since the early 80’s, playing at the best soul nights, all-nighters and weekenders throughout the UK and mainland Europe.
He’s of course widely known and highly respected for his rare 60’s soul DJ sets but there’s much more to this man’s talent for spotting a great soul tune. There’s a flip side to his love of soul music that he doesn’t play often enough. His secret stash of 70’s, modern soul and soulful house would make some modern soul DJs green with envy and walk away with an impossible wants list. Wherever and whenever Kitch is playing expect to be amazed...

014: OPERATION SUN
It took just two years to build the golden bridge between Ska & Reggae Music. Foundations were drums and intricated bassline in a supersoul slow mood. Ask any Jamaican musician and they'll tell you the rocksteady days were the best days of Jamaican music.

013:LATE NITE MOOD
Andreas B relocated to Scandinavia from sunny Southern California almost exactly 8 years ago. During a dark winter in Malmö, Sweden, he decided over many a late night and many episodes of Seinfeld to finally take the plunge from a casual soul fan to total soul obsessive. Seemingly overnight, accounts drained and the collections of various other genres slimmed – this was a thing. Now a few years later, hopefully wiser and with quite a bit more late night online digging sessions under his belt, he presents to you an eclectic mix of some of his current favourite soul tunes from the deep end of his record bag. LATE NITE MOOD, true to its name, was recorded between the hours of 1 and 3 AM, on another cold winter night.

005:NORTHERN SOUL BROAD CHURCH
"Personally, I'm still looking for unknowns all the time, records that resonate with where I have been in life, where I am, and perhaps where I might go. My search for ‘new discoveries’ has always been aligned with the articulation of what the ‘soul’ encounters in life; the unknowns. My soul - that inner feeling of empathetic connection, in this case with the incredible music that sits within what I denote as the Northern Soul genre - is continually evolving as my life changes, and this is an implicit part of being in the world expressed explicitly through the music I play. The need to hear and dance to a ‘new’ lost voice, to find a cathartic release that reflects the ‘very moment’ of being ‘in’ life, has always been the unswerving continuum of the northern soul scene that I have actively and continuously taken part in since 1976".
